This article was written before Covid-19 accelerated and before the recent riots. Interesting read nonetheless. Diversity and Inclusion is #5 on this list but it has to be one of the top 2 now (in addition to keeping workplaces Covid safe).
This is interesting to read knowing it was written before the pandemic and BLM activist protests. The world is changing, and it’s positive to see that Diversity and Inclusion was on this list prior to the protests. I’m happy to witness and participate in the recent movements and growing awareness in the past few months on what needs to be done today and moving forward. The way this article specifically speaks about how Inclusion and Diversity go hand in hand is incredibly relevant for both racial and gender diversification. I am unable to speak from a racial standpoint, but as a female I have much respect for those who are so openly cognizant about their efforts. At this point in time it’s not natural for many to see equality (although it should be!), so a recognized effort from leadership, employees, and the HR team specifically is a great step in the right direction.
