As I write this my thoughts and feelings are mixed. Honestly, the last thing I wanted to do was write a post about leading through the pandemic. I am over it I am ready to get back to normal. But the reality is as we leaders we have to step up and deal with it. For me, I get the best results when I outline my strategy and write it down.
I asked myself a simple question and found there was no simple answer. How am I going to lead my team through the pandemic? Three thoughts popped in my head. Resilience, patience, and understanding.
For both companies and individuals, it is critical to remain resilient during this crisis.
Patience is probably the toughest one for me to grasp. I am not a patient person and strive for action and results every day.
Understanding is the key for me. I need to understand the reality of the situation. I found that understanding is key in keeping me in line with the first two goals resilience and patience.
I encourage you to be patient in trying to understand the unknown and resilient in your quest to understand.
How are you leading your team through the pandemic?
