Experts are saying that we can expect high prices and low supply to continue for what could be several years! Sounds like if there was ever a year to plan on buying Christmas gifts early, it’s this one. Even with rising prices for pretty much all goods across the board, this Thanksgiving is expected to be the most expensive in recorded history. Crazy how resilient the American economy has been even after having gone through a pandemic!
Janet Yellen has said, however, that there should be improvements by mid-2022. Apparently, we’re already seeing a decline in monthly rates of inflation from earlier this year. As for the supply chain, it was already strained to begin with, but COVID really seemed to push it to its breaking point- from factories producing goods to the ports where they unload it.
What do you think we can expect from the supply chain and our economy moving forward into 2022?
