With the COVID Delta Variant on the rise, will workplace COVID testing become a widely implemented practice across the country (or even world)? The mayor of New York City and governor of California announced (via Twitter?) requirements that public employees get vaccinated or schedule a weekly test date. On top of these messages from government officials, over 50 medical groups published a letter urging employers to require Covid vaccines for all healthcare personnel.
My initial thought is that there could be potential for legal pushback, but as companies across the country fear a period of loss similar to what we experienced in 2020, will these mandates become the new norm?
